Of course the best music comes from the best state. Duh. So listen to it and pass it on friends.

These guys are interesting because they incorporate many different genres yet still make good music. They call themselves newgrass, and I think it fits them perfectly. They are definitely on the rise, being one of the bigger brands to come out of Colorado.  Check out their Facebook, and here they are on Spotify.

This jam band-esque band from our town of Fort Collins has been growing steadily in the Colorado music scene. Jason Downing (the man with the bad-ass beard) is not only the man playing the most instruments in the band, but also a professor at Colorado State University.  Check out the multi-talented Downing, and his cohorts perform and take note for any updates of their live schedule.

These guys are not from the state of Colorado, however they were just in Colorado (like a month ago).  I saw them in Denver and it was an amazing show.  They had the craziest, best wardrobes I have ever seen.  They are truly a unique band.  They could even find themselves in the Dopestep page, but I found them a little bit more indie rock.  Check 'em out, they dope!

You, Me & Apollo are an indie folk band that is currently making waves in the Colorado music scene.  They just released The EP EP earlier this year and should be a band you pay attention to, because I mean they are from our state.  They have both their new EP and the Cards with Cheats LP, that was released in 2011, on Spotify.

Fierce Bad Rabbit is one of the bigger bands that is coming out of Fort Collins right now, at least they are one of my personal favorites. They are like a folky rock, something more rockish than Mumford & Sons.  If you haven't seen them at FoCoMX or NewWestFest, I would definitely check them out.  They just recently released a new LP entitled The Maestro and the Elephant, and it is on Spotify.

This local band, from Littleton, CO, is making solid music.  I personally know the lead guitarist (Ian Tyson) and though there may be some bias, I think they are going to be something big.  Check them out, they even have some of their material on Spotify.
